I must admit, It had been snowing here in North Jersey since about noon and didn't look at all like good travel weather. I was ready to resolve to watching the whole event on television. That's when My wife looked at me with that don't give up look. I thought about the weather forecast, the crowds, the travel. She said c'mon honey it will be an adventure. My 8 year old daughter concurred. and we were off.

January 20, 2008 4:35am, Wshington D.C.

Two hours of sleep, bitter cold, unbeleaviable crowds. Up at 4:00am to get on line by 5:00. Getting in line to get on line. To wait, ... to witness. Sometimes you just have to be there.
